I’m going to start slowing down on the Christmas cards; I’ve really been creating a bunch of them lately! Nothing like a deadline to kick me in the butt. Every year I plan on spreading out the card making so I don’t have a rush at the end, and every year I still need to create a bunch for my Christmas card list. But, the upside is that I have a bunch of timely project to share here with you! For this card I pulled out the November 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit again. I made 6 cards featuring this tag, and now I only have 1 set of tags left in the kit. I’m really itching to make up something so that I can call the kit complete – which is VERY satisfying.
What you can’t tell from the picture is that the embossed Pool Party layer is VERY shimmery. The photograph never shows it off properly because the angle isn’t right; believe me it is quite sparkly. You can easily achieve this at home too – it’s so easy and fun.
- Fill a Stampin’ Spritzer about 3/4 full with rubbing alcohol
- Add a few drops of Frost White Shimmer Paint
- Shake well and spritz on your project
- Set it aside to dry before using; the alcohol will evaporate more quickly than water
I was so excited when I saw this current challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. It was absolutely perfect for me to use another of the tags from the kit that I’ve been slowly working through. I love it when serendipity like that happens!
