This was the simpler card that the Essex stamp club created at the June meeting. I wanted to try out a monochromatic theme, and the ladies really enjoyed the color combination that I put together. The new color Mango Melody is a perfect middle color between Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight in this monochromatic scheme.

I used this sketch as the starting point for the design of this card. This layout allowed me to use a new punch in the catalog, and the ladies punched away like champs. We did find that it worked best to stand, and place your full palm on the punch. You don’t need lots of force, but to get a clear cut standing allows you to get the pressure going in the right direction.

This stamp set is my first one of the patent pending stamp technology called “Distinktive”. They are the regular red rubber stamps, but the process allows them to take photo realistic images with lots of shading and create stamped images that are stunning with a single stamp.
