I have to say that this Thanksgiving season, I’m feeling especially grateful for all of the blessings (big and small) in my life. My family is small, but we are very close, and everyone is doing well. My son is laying the groundwork to pursue a career in the ministry (which makes us sooooo proud), and we know that he’ll be amazing. I was blessed to attend a BIG Stampin’ Up! event in Orlando last week, which was an absolute blast. And I have made so many great friendships thanks to a shared love of this craft. Yes, I’m feeling especially blessed, and I’m feeling “simply thankful for all the good things”.
I am continuing to enjoy using the Country Home stamp set from the Holiday catalog. The images in the set are great fun for coloring with the Stampin’ Blends, and I was glad to pull out the set for this great sentiment on this card. I really, really hope that the set will make it on the “carry-over” list so that everyone has more opportunity to get this great set. And that I have a reason to continue to create with it.
This current challenge on the TGIF Challenges site was the inspiration for my card. I had lots of fun experimenting to create this light colored pumpkin (or is it actually a squash?) for the card. Clearly these pale gourds are all the rage this year because I keep seeing home decor images that incorporate them all over the place.
Edited 11/23 – I’m so excited to share that this card was selected as the winner for the TGIFChallenges challenge from last week! What a great way to start my day as I recover from turkey day food coma! Woo hoo!
