snow is glistening

It is certainly feeling like winter out there, so it is quite timely for me to share this snowflake themed card! I had to walk a bit outside yesterday as I returned to work from dropping off my car to get the snow tires put on (just in time!). It definitely was full-on winter, with a wind-chill that felt like 0° – brrrr!

You may recognize this layout because I just shared another card using this same sketch earlier in the week. I showed this card to the Essex stamp club group the same evening that they created the fall-themed card. This card uses the Snow is Glistening stamp set that is part of the Snowflake Showcase products that are available (while supplies last) for this month only. I am very sad to share that the white velvet papers are already sold out. They were such a huge hit that the supply was depleted by November 9th! So… I won’t crow about how lovely this paper is, because it would just be a cruel tease. You can recreate this card using Whisper White cardstock for the snowflakes instead of the velvet paper. Let’s use this as a wake-up call to get any products that you want while you can. I would hate for you to miss out on these fabulous products! You can use this link to go to the store and shop from what’s available.

On this card, I stamped a white panel for the inside as well. I used the dense to sparse snowflake stamp at the top with Balmy Blue ink, and inked up the greeting “Sending a blizzard of wishes for a wonderful season.” with Blueberry Bushel ink. It makes me happy!
