I know (and very much appreciate) that I have many blessings in my life; a loving family, an amazing church home, a safe place to lie my head at night, plenty of food, and an interesting work life. But a special blessing that I have found is the friends that I have made through stamping. There is something special about the community of people that enjoy putting stamp to ink and then to paper. They are warm, friendly, and generous souls that I am so glad that I have met. I could send this card to countless people that have joined my circle of friends over the years – my life is definitely blessed because I know them.
This was the first card that the South Burlington stamp club made at their July meeting. From the picture it is hard to tell, but this card opens in a different way. The center section with the Soft Suede mat layer is actually the piece that lifts up to reveal a spot on the card for a message. On the inside is a piece of die cut Rococo Rose cardstock to jazz up that layer a little bit. I am still very much in love with the “To a Wild Rose” stamp set, and I was glad to take an opportunity to show it to the stamp club gals. I think that they enjoyed making this card with a unique opening.
