This is the other card that I created for February birthdays for our church card ministry. I really had a hankering to do some coloring yesterday, and this cute card stamp from the Driving By Sale-A-Bration set has been calling to me. Some bright balloons with a pretty sportscar combine for a super-fun card that I think will brighten the day of folks celebrating next month. I actually created 4 different color mixes of this card. All of them used the same color scheme, but to not burn through a single Stampin’ Blends set I used each of the 4 colors for the car and then used the other 3 for the balloons. I also mixed up the matted color cardstock and picked a contrasting color for the car image. I hope that the recipients enjoy these cute cards!
I was inspired in my card layout by this current card challenge. In fact, I’m getting it posted just in time to participate; nothing like waiting until the last minute! I really stuck to a CAS approach to this card and didn’t add a bunch of extras. Stamping and coloring adds all of the zip to this card, the only extra was Dimensionals to help the main image pop a little bit. I have to say that doing some stamping and then sitting with a football game on while I colored was a great way to spend some time yesterday afternoon.
Oh, this is so super-cute! Adorable image and such wonderful colours. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Thanks so much Karren – I had a lot of fun making a batch of these cards for the challenge!
