in paper form
I think that I may be jonesing for some beautiful flowers around my house. I needed to come up with some card designs for some recent creativity gatherings and I just couldn't stop making cards that were including flower elements. What I really love about this design is that it is so bright and cheerful, and the ribbon flower stems are an unexpected fun element.
The stamp set used here is a special sneak peek that is currently available from Stampin' Up! You can purchase the bundle of this stamp set (which features 8 cute stamps) with the 7/8" punch until May 30th. Both items will be in the next big catalog that "goes live" on June 1st, but why wait when they're so stinking cute?
I used 12×12" paper to cut out the square card bases for this card. Usually, it is pretty wasteful to use that size of paper to make a card, but these square cards work out perfectly. You can get four 4×4" cards from a single sheet, and you have one 4×4" piece left over – which comes in handy as a scrap for other creations. And another really cool aspect about these cards – they fit into a normal A2 envelope. There is some extra room, but this means that you don't have to pay any extra postage to send a cute, square card.
I used the following materials to make this card:
- Stamps: A Round Array
- Cardstock: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry
- Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry
- Accessories: 7/8" Scallop Circle punch, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch, Wild Wasabi Stitched Grosgrain ribbon, Polka Dot Parade DSP
