starburst_flashback_thankyouI have to say that I am very enamored with the starburst look using DSP. I designed this card to share with my stamp club gals in August; I think that they liked it, but I'm not sure that they are as thrilled with it as I am. That's what makes this world so fantastic – we all have different tastes! There is one difference between the card shown here and the way that I demo'd it for the club gals – I stamped the "so much" portion separately and cut it out when I created the sample. That little banner is small and fussy, so I decided to have them ink the stamp with Pool Party, and then wipe off that area and color with the Crushed Curry marker.  I'm not sure which one I prefer, but the latter approach is definitely a bit quicker.

I've worked on another set of cards featuring a starburst design that I'll share soon-ish. This is a fantastic technique for using up some DSP scraps that you have hanging around. As I have done these I have also found that I like the effect when I sponge the edges of the DSP scraps to help make the demarcation between the patterns a bit more clear.
