Last weekend I attended a virtual stamping retreat and I had a blast! We created 8 different projects over 2 days, and I was so inspired by the creativity of the 4 retreat hosts. We created a bunch of cards and 1 box (I know some of you are groaning about the box…) 😉 Almost all of the cards involved a type of fun-fold, and this card was no exception. This was actually the last card that we created during the retreat, and I had just as much fun with this one as I did with the first card. The retreat hosts have a gift for keeping things moving and inspiring us over hours of creativity.

I don’t feel comfortable sharing the specifics of the measurements of this card because I think it’s protected by copyright for the retreat hosts. Even if I’m wrong, I don’t want to infringe on their efforts and the exclusivity of the retreat. We are encouraged to share our creations, though! So, what I’m comfortable sharing with you is that the mechanism inside has cardstock that is scored to create 4 sections. In the center of the scored paper I used one of the Stylish Shapes circles to create an opening for the snowflake to hang. I stamped the snowflake image twice and diecut it. This image is perfect for the card design because it is symmetrical. I sandwiched a piece of baker’s twine between the two images to hide it and then taped the end to the back of the Azure Afternoon cardstock. I put patterned paper on the 2 side panels and then adhered those sides to the inside of the card. I think this card is so fun!

I typically show the front of the card as my main image for a post. This time I decided to focus on the inside which is where the real magic is for this card. But the front is so pretty too, I just had to share that as well. I stamped a panel with the snowflakes and greeting from the Season of Chic stamps. This set and coordinating dies are in the Annual catalog, and I encourage you to check it out. It has great images for all times of the year, so it is extremely versatile. I added some of the same patterned paper and some retired silver foil (I really miss it) to create this pretty card front. Isn’t this pretty?
