I created this card while experimenting with my new Work of Art stamp set that came out in the new catalog. I have seen some super creative things made with this set and I really look forward to doing more with it. One of the nice things about this card is that it is nice and flat, which isn't normal for me, but this will make it very easy to send this card in the mail. The punched stars stand out nicely on their own without Dimensionals, and I won't have to worry how this card will fare in the automatic sorters.
The swooshes on this card are stamped using a technique called "repetition". I inked up the stamp and stamped as normal for the top swoosh, then I stamped it two more times below without inking between each stamp. When you do this the image gets progressively lighter and it is fantastic for creating a monochromatic look for your project. I've also seen this technique used to create the sense of motion for stamped animals and insects. It is so easy and I encourage you to give it a try.
