I created a batch of these cards for a demonstrator swap that I’m participating in featuring items from the new catalog. When I sign up for these swaps, I like to pick stamp sets that I think may not be the first thing that catches the eye in the catalog. I also really like to pick sets that I think are really versatile and can be used for lots of purposes. This greeting set definitely fits this goal. I really love the way that the block text and the script text has lots of options for pairing to create a special greeting for a project. I also really like cool greetings because they pair so wonderfully with pretty patterned paper and other stamps. The sky’s the limit for creating with this great set!
I also used a couple of other items that are new this month – the pretty patterned paper and the Tailor Made Tags dies. The dies partner wonderfully with the Biggest Wish stamps to create a fun focal image for my card. I think that I’m going to give these dies A LOT of use! I also love the Sweet Symmetry patterned paper; the smaller scale designs with lots of colors are a great element on anything that you create. When I do a swap, I like to use patterned paper, but I have to be frugal since I’m making several of the same card. A 1″ strip across the bottom of the card is just enough to boost the card without busting my stash of a single design. In fact, I like this card layout that I created so much that I’m making the next batch of June church birthday cards using the same layout. Stay tuned to see what I create (with some non-SU patterned paper).
There are so many great products in the new catalog, and I’ve featured a few of them in the swap cards that I’ve shared in this and my previous post HERE. If there are things that you want from the new catalog, please consider using Host Code 79FAJBPS when you submit your online order. If your order is > $150, DON’T use the Host Code because I want you to receive the host rewards to get some free stuff. If your order is less than that amount, I appreciate your use of the Host Code because it helps me replace supplies that I use when I create projects to share here. If you don’t have a copy of the catalog and you like local to me, contact me so I can get you a copy.
