pretty pastel flowersWe just made this card in stamp club last evening and the gals were joking that I took time during my recent recuperation to come up with devious, fussy things for them to do. This was all in fun of course, and I believe that they thought the effort was worth it. In particular, it was creating the mask for the foremost flower that was a little annoying with the little pointy-bits on each petal. But, they all persevered and created a card that made us all wistful for spring.

I originally created this card to participate in a sketch challenge out on the Craft Project Central site. They have a monthly sketch challenge called "Creating Pretty Cards". This is actually my first time participating in their challenge, and I do like how this one turned out. Here is the original sketch:

I also wanted to create a card that showcased some of the wonderful Sale-A-Bration (SAB) products that are available right now. I used three different SAB goodies on this card; the flower stamps, the patterned paper and the embossing folder. Gotta love it!

I used the following materials to make this card:

  • Stamps: Petal Parade (SAB), Another Thank You
  • Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black, Whisper White
  • Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Basic Black, Pistachio Pudding
  • Accessories: Sweet Sorbet DSP (SAB), Circles Framelits, Perfect Pennants Bigz die, Summer Starfruit ribbon, Decorative Dots embossing folder (SAB), Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponges
