It was absolutely AGES ago that I created this card! Way back in early November I joined my friend Heather for the OnStage Online event presented by Stampin’ Up! We had some gloriously warm days so we could have the windows open while we stamped (while masked) from a safe distance. This card was one of the make ‘n takes that we made during the event. We made 3 cards in total, and they all featured the Dandy Garden Suite from the January – June catalog. The stamps, the punch and the dies from the suite are all in the new “big” catalog, but the rest of the items in the suite will be retired at the end of June. If there are any accessory items that you’ve been considering from the suite, then I encourage you to get them soon before they are gone for good. I’m planning on sharing the other 2 cards here on my blog before the end of June, so you can gain some inspiration from the suite.

I am a fan of dragonfly images, because they remind me of the warm, lazy days of later summer. A specific memory of riding my bike on a dirt road along a river near home comes to mind. There were a bunch of dragonflies buzzing around as I was riding, and some of them were HUGE. It was a gorgeous sunny day, and watching them fly around was kinda magical. I also just learned (thank you inter-webz) that dragonflies eat other insects. So, I really appreciate their contribution to reducing the population of mosquitos and other biting insects. That’s a real draw-back to summer in VT; so many bugs that bite and make you itch!
