Snow for sharing but not on cards

We had some snow last week here in Vermont, but a warm and rainy weekend has washed it all away. So, I thought that I would share this paper version with snow that will never melt. I created this card as the swap that I gave to the club gals at our meeting last week. I occasionally really enjoy using non-traditional colors for holiday cards, and this creation definitely fits that description.

When I created this card, I discovered that my Real Red ink isn't quite what it should be. The smallest snowflakes are stamped with that ink, but they look exactly like the Regal Rose stamped snowflakes. I can't really complain because I purchased my red ink pad on my very first Stampin' Up! order from the first workshop I attended 8 years ago (give or take). Soooo, I took this as a sign that it is time to replace my brights ink pads with a set of the new firm-foam style pads. I bet my Real Red will be nice and vibrant, and truly red, once those new goodies arrive at chez Sharp.

I used the following materials to make this card:

  • Stamps: Snowflake Soirée
  • Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Whisper White
  • Ink: Pretty in Pink, Sahara Sand, Regal Rose, Real Red
  • Accessories: Champagne Glimmer paper, Red Glimmer paper, metallic brad
