The other day I mentioned that I would be sharing another card featuring the Thoughtful Branches bundle – well, this is it. This is the second card that I created for the stamp club gals for our August meeting. It was a warm evening, but I think they appreciated making a Holiday card even though the timing was a little strange.
I have seen so many gorgeous cards created with this amazing limited-time bundle, but I haven't seen too many Christmas cards. Maybe it's too early for people to be feeling like creating Holiday cards (it's never too early for me). Stampin' Up! shared some samples with the demonstrators when they released this bundle and it had a gorgeous Christmas card. I took the tree and the birds from that sample and then ventured off on my own. I tore a piece of vellum to create the snowy landscape and the wonderful Softly Falling embossing folder created the snow-fall background. Vellum is tricky to adhere because no matter what adhesive you use you will see it through the vellum. For this card the vellum is adhered behind the popped-up greeting so that it is hidden. I used liquid glue to adhere the white tree, which also acted as an anchor for the other end of the vellum. Voilá! No unsightly glue peeking through the vellum!
Today is the last day that you can purchase the Thoughtful Branches bundle. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing with the stamps and dies, and I hope that you have enjoyed seeing the various samples. If you want to have your own set, don't delay and get your order in before 11:50 pm.
