I’ve been hearing some news updates regarding the second heat wave of the summer that is hitting Europe right now. I believe that their first one was while I traveled to Hungary for a week in late June for work, and if that’s true then I can attest that it is scorching. I’m especially thinking of the cyclists that are riding in the Tour de France right now; if I could I would send them some coolness from the snowy images on my card, I would do it. I hope that they will all stay safe as they battle through the tough ride.
I created this card to participate in this current challenge on the TGIF Challenges web site. I had fun pulling out some stamps to create a Christmas card. I love the versatility of the Colorful Seasons stamps and coordinating dies to create cards for all year-round.
I used this sketch layout as the inspiration for my card. This sketch is quite versatile and I’ve considered using it for several projects over the last couple of days. I finally decided to it with the TGIF challenge to create the card you see here. In the upper area I sponged Seaside Spray over the white cardstock, and then stamped snowflakes that had been stamped off once to create a soft background. I hope you like it!
One last thing – the largest snowflake diecut is from a retired set of dies that were available for a limited time last year. So, I apologize that I may be teasing you with that diecut, but I needed a larger snowflake for my creation.
