I recently got together with a friend for a bit of crafty and chatting fun. I brought the Welcome Inn paper pumpkin kit for something to work on while we caught up. This kit was the June 2023 kit and I hadn’t worked on it yet. I confess that I have a bit of a pile of kits that I need to work through😉 . One of the great things that I love about Paper Pumpkin and standard kits from Stampin’ Up! is how portable they are. You just need an acrylic block and your favorite adhesive and you’re ready to rock.

I supplemented this kit with a stamp set from the Annual Catalog. Don’t get me wrong, the stamps from the kit are great and I did use them for my cards. I changed the greeting on the navy and pale blue cards because I have a lot more use for these sentiments on a regular basis. That’s one of the great things about stamps – as long as the size of an image will fit, it is fine to change it up from the original design. Another change that I made is one that I’ve mentioned before. The card bases in the kit have pattern or solid navy, and I cut them in half so I can create 2x the number of cards. I cut Basic White Thick card bases and glued the halved card bases to the front; this gives the same finished look for the card and I have extras to use on other projects. The other diecuts in the kit don’t have extras to make more than the cards in the kit, but I’m sure that I can use these pretty patterned papers pretty quickly. I especially like the Calypso Coral paper with the foxes – it’s just too cute!

The Welcome Inn Paper Pumpkin kit is still available if you want one. You do need to be a Paper Pumpkin subscriber to purchase any of the past kits or add-ons. And even more cool, this kit is 50% off with a price of $10.75!
