This was the second card that the South Burlington stamp club group created this month. I wanted a card that would go together quickly since we were splitting our time between projects while waiting for the embossing paste to dry on the first card. The fiddliest part of this card was cutting out the Ornate Frames die because all of those teeny tiny pieces require a little encouragement to pop out. And then Missy brought out a dryer sheet to put under the cardstock while cutting, and the die cuts released cleanly. I taught the group that trick a few years ago, and then forgot about it. Doh!
I also wanted to take an opportunity to showcase this gorgeous paper to the group. I knew as soon as I saw it in the catalog that it would be incredibly popular, and it has gone on backorder a couple of times already. Thankfully, it is available again so the club gals that wanted it could get it, and if you want to order it, you can get it too. One really cool thing about this paper is that each sheet has a photo-realistic image on one side and silver foil with white images on the reverse side. This really is a stunning pack of paper, so I definitely encourage you to get it while you can.
I used this older card sketch as the design for this card. I combined the accents with the sentiment instead of having them separate as they are in the sketch. I do like having some prettiness peeking out from behind the pretty framed sentiment on this card, without detracting from the gorgeous patterned paper in the vertical strip.
