Watercolor Crayons Direct A last blast of summer

I created this card with my club gals back in August, but I haven't shared it here yet.  Now that fall is really in the air here (some places in the mountains have gotten snow) I just wanted to take a look back at a card that feels more summery.  The flower stamped image is done using Watercolor Wonder Crayons; you color them directly on a solid image stamp, spritz with some water and stamp like you usually would.  The image is light in my picture, and it is a little light IRL, too, but I still like the watercolor look.

I followed this old color challenge for the color scheme on this card. It is nice and bright, and a great look for summer time.  Alas, I will miss it terribly!

I used the following materials to make this card:

  • Stamps: Fabulous Florets
  • Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, Whisper White
  • Ink: StazOn Black
  • Accessories: Finishing Touches Edgelit, Brights Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Stampin' Spritzer, International Bazaar DSP, Square Lattice embossing folder
