This is the other card that I made for the September birthdays for the church card ministry. This card design is perfect for mass production. I made 32 of this card, and the steps to assemble are great for working in stages. This design was also great for using some retired patterned paper that I have in my voluminous stash. I used one of the patterns in a large pack of paper; there are 4 sheets of each design and I used all 4 sheets of this design with a strip left over from each one. I always feel good when I’m able to used some retired paper and give it some love.
This card in particular is a trip in the Wayback machine. Do you remember Mr. Peabody’s time travel device from the Rocky & Bullwinkle show? I know I’m showing my age here. š Anyhow, a couple of the elements that I used on this card are long retired. The first one is the patterned paper that retired fairly recently – I’ve already talk about that. The other is the stamp that is the focal point on the card. I just did a Google search and found that this stamp was offered by Stampin’ Up!⢠back in 2013. That’s right – 2013!!! It was part of a group of single stamps that the company offered for a limited time. I’ve had it stashed away with my past Paper Pumpkin stamps and I unearthed it when I was looking for a birthday greeting. When I rediscovered this stamp I decided to pivot and go with this larger stamp. Isn’t this image retro and fun?!? I hope that the September birthday folks enjoy it.
