I confess that I’m not a big lover of bird stamps. I don’t know why, but they don’t very often end up in my collection even though Stampin’ Up! frequently has some great bird images. This one is part of the Posted For You set which has a variety of images, so it isn’t exclusively a bird set. I really like these images, and I had fun coloring these little birds on their branches. In fact, I’m especially happy with how this card came out and I’m looking forward to sending this card to a friend. Even tho it has birds!

This is the third card that I created for my Posted For You class. I’ll be sending out the instructions to everyone that is a mailing list subscriber in the next couple of days. So, if you want the instructions (FOR FREE), please make sure that you’ve signed up for my mailing list (not the blog subscription). You’ll get the instructions in your mailbox, and you can order the supplies to create the cards in the comfort of your home. You’ll want to order pretty quickly because some of the supplies are retiring, and once they are gone, they are gone for good.

I used this past sketch from Freshly Made Sketches as the design inspiration for my card. This layout shows enough of the pretty DSP without it overpowering the card. And it has just the right amount of space for the pretty sentiment. I have to say that I’m pleased with how this one turned out! I revisited a ribbon technique that I have used in a while, and it felt like I rediscovered an old friend. I wrapped one length of ribbon around the horizontal cardstock layer and they tied another piece around it. It is SO easy, and it adds just the right amount of zhuzh to the card.
