This is the last card that I created months ago during the Creativity Now event. All of the projects used the Translucent Florals bundle, and each one was very different from the others. Like the cards that I shared here and here, I decided to create the “Advanced” version of the card. I really like the variety of textures on this card; it really makes it unique and special. The section behind the flowers is embossed with a 3D embossing folder which creates some great visual and tactile texture. The colored vellum adds a unique, soft look for the flowers and leaves. Just the perfect touch for a wedding or shower card! And the best part is that it’s super-easy to create this colored vellum. The trickiest part is remembering to use it on a card!
The flowers and vellum leaves are created with the Vellum Basics Specialty paper. For the flowers I used the dot pattern, and for the leaves I used the leaf pattern. For both of them I colored the back of the printed vellum with a Stampin’ Blends marker to give it the color you see here. I die cut with the various dies to create the flowers and leaves. Both flowers are made of 2 die cuts and they are glued down with a glue dot. I added a black Matte dot in the center of the flowers and they really pop off the card. I really love how each of the cards from the event turned out!
