This was the first card that the South Burlington stamp club created this month. This was the first time that I showed them the Itty Bitty Christmas bundle (which I dearly love), and I think that they love it now, too. They blasted through the creation of this card way quicker than I anticipated. To avoid a bottleneck at the die cut machine I pre-cut the Christmas Layers pieces in advance; I’m certain that was the right call, and helped us zip through this card.
If you’re thinking that this card design looks a little familiar, you are absolutely correct. I used this sketch for a card swap that I made for OnStage that I shared previously here. For this card layout I switched the vertical DSP panel onto the left side so it is a reflection of the sketch. Instead of using an embossing folder to add texture on the empty section, for this card I added some tone-on-tone diecut elements from the coordinating dies. I have to say that I am still loving the gingham pattern in the 6″ x 6″ DSP stacks, and I like the look on this card. What do you think?
