This card came together quite quickly. I started designing last evening and then finished it this morning as I drank my coffee. I love it when the creativity flows so smoothly! Definitely part of why it was so quick was because the floral image is already printed so I didn’t have to stamp/color that. In fact, the only stamping on this card is the greeting strip. It’s stepped up with the use of some diecuts and the embossing folder, but it was not challenging at all to make. Even in the early morning when I wasn’t fully caffeinated yet!
Stampin’ Up has added Ephemera Packs to the Annual Catalog this year. They have had a couple of products in the past that I believe they called Ephemera packs, but those included other items like ribbon and embellishments. The Ephemera Packs in the catalog now are printed paper images that are laser diecut. I purchased the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack because I wanted to check them out to see how I like them and I figured the floral images were the ones that I was most likely to use. There are a total of 8 sheets in the pack, with 4 different sets of images (there are lots on a single sheet). So you will get 2 each of every flower/leaf image in the pack. There are a bunch of different sizes and colors, and there are even a couple that are black line art images that can be colored. For reference, I would say that the flowers I used on this card are on the larger size of the images in the floral pack.
Like my previous post here, this design was inspired by another SU Sketch from the catalog. This one is also on page 22, in the second row, 4th from the left.
This design seems like it will be very versatile and will work for lots of images. I like the circle background to show off the pretty flowers and the green strawberries in this image from the Ephemera pack. It would be great with a leafy image, or something wintry with a wee holiday wish. The options are limitless!
