It’s that time again – time to make a batch of birthday cards for the church card ministry. This month I decided to take the creative opportunity to make up two different card designs. I made 10 copies of this card first, and then made a larger batch of another card that I’ll share here soon.
I purchased the Year of Flowers bundle when it first came out as an Online Exclusive. I planned to use this stamp set bundle for the birthday card ministry at church, but not only for that. I also absolutely love floral stamps, so this bundle is very much in my favorite zone. The reason that I only made 10 of these cards is that the coordinator still has a bunch of cards left over from last month. It would be very strange to send this card after June is over, so I didn’t want to give her too many cards for what she can use this month. Additionally, having to color the image takes time so it isn’t as great for large batch creating. Therefore making a smaller batch was just the right amount to do.
You may recognize the layout of this card design. I recently shared a card using this layout in a horizontal orientation; you can check it out here. That other post has all of the cutting dimensions – I didn’t change any of the sizes of paper and cardstock that I used.
I used a couple of items that are retired so you won’t be able to purchase them any more. I included them in the ingredients list so you know what I used. You can definitely find a substitute for the patterned paper and the sequins if you want to recreate this card design.
