I created this card for the recent card buffet that I held in June. I do have to confess that this was probably the most time consuming card that I had on offer, but a couple of the gals made it up and were pleased with the results. The stamps that are used for this card are part of a bundle that is all new in the "big" catalog that launched in June. Earlier this week I shared a card for a couple of challenges that use the same bundle. These stamps make it easy to create soft flowers like I shared here, as well as more line-art like in this sample here. I really appreciate the variety in these stamps, and the greetings in the set are great, too.
I drew inspiration for my card from this sample from the big catalog. I decided to use the stamps more for the flower and leaf images, and I featured the new In Color called Flirty Flamingo. It was a total accident that my flowers were swapped in orientation – it all started with the hand cutting of the stems. But, I think this look is just as pretty as the sample. I also like the brighter colors in my card (but I'm a little biased, I admit). This is one of the fantastic aspects of the Stampin' Up! catalog – there are fantastic samples that you can copy exactly, or modify to use supplies that you have on hand.
