Fall colors with a twist He helps so many people

Doesn't he deserve a card to let him know that he's appreciated?  This card features so many things: stamp, die cut and embossing folder from the Holiday Mini catalog, patterned paper from the main catalog and a color combination from my favorite color site. I used the technique that I shared in another post to die cut the stamped image so it is aligned nicely. I created this card a couple of months ago for a demonstrator swap for the Holiday Mini catalog. I received many lovely cards in return; I just love participating in swaps!

I really enjoy this fall color scheme, and love the unexpected Island Indigo element.  Like the stained glass fixture that was the inspiration, I kept the blue influence to a subtle amount because it could totally change the character of the blend if it was used in too large a proportion.

I used the following supplies to make this card:

  • Stamps: Tweet Leaves, Sweet Essentials
  • Cardstock: Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede, Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie
  • Ink: Soft Suede
  • Accessories: Autumn Accents Bigz die, Woodgrain embossing folder, Square Lattice embossing folder, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, Metallic brad, Comfort Café DSP, stamping sponge
